LEICESTER UNIVERSITY SUPPORTS TOPSY

Over the past three years, Sexpression Leicester has been raising money for the Topsy Foundation during a week of events in December marking World AIDS Day. Over the past year they have raised in excess of £500 selling Topsy products.
Sexpression is one branch of a wider network of UK university students who campaign for and deliver high-quality sex and relationships education to young people in their local area.
Their campaigns include raising awareness of HIV and supporting those affected and living with HIV both locally and in the rural areas in South Africa where Topsy operates.

A WARM WELCOME TO GWYNETH WILLIAMS, TOPSY TRUSTEE

Gwyneth is Controller of BBC Radio 4 and 4 Extra. Before that she was Director of the BBC World Service in English, Editor of the Reith Lectures for many years and Head of Radio Current Affairs. She worked briefly at the Overseas Development Institute and took five years out of formal employment in the 1980s to be with her children. She has published two books, one, co-authored with Brian Hackland, on Southern Africa and another on Third World political organisations. She grew up in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa and is an Honorary Fellow of St Hugh’s College, Oxford where she was educated.

GARETH'S PARIS MARATHON FOR TOPSY

A "happily exhausted" Gareth Price completed the Paris Marathon on Sunday, April 6. The run went well with Gareth finishing in 4 hours 9 minutes, a few minutes shy of last year's time and raising £583 for Topsy.
Although disappointed not to have beaten his PB by such a narrow margin, it was a great effort on the day - well done!

WELL DONE TOPSY TEAM'S 10 KM CHALLENGE

Sunday16 March dawned bright and clear and our intrepid team were more than up to the challenge. Rob Huber who, having garnered his team, had arrived home 36 hours earlier from Vietnam with a nasty bout of food poisoning but was nevertheless determined to join in the line up on the day.
Well done to all for completing the 10 km and many many thanks for your efforts in raising over £1000 for Topsy

THE LONDON TO PARIS BIKE RIDE - 4-7 September - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Jeff set himself both a personal and a Topsy challenge in undertaking months of gruelling training and the ride itself. A magnificent achievement in completing the circuit and raising in excess of £3000 for Topsy.
