What Topsy does
Topsy brings genuine benefit to the quality of life for a significant number of people in the communities it serves through a variety of interrelated projects, organised under three overall programmes:
- Community Outreach Programme
- Comprehensive HIV and Aids Care Clinic (CHACC) Programme
- Provision of Antiretroviral (ARV) Therapy
- Voluntary Counselling and Treatment
- Post-Exposure Prophylaxis
- Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission
- General Care for HIV and AIDS patients
- Cervical Cancer Screening
- Skills Training Programme

Some facts and figures for 2009

On average we reach 2,799 beneficiaries each month through our Home-Based Care project.

On average we help 979 children each month through our Orphaned and Vulnerable Children project.

We distribute approximately 74 food parcels per month, which benefit on average 163 adults and 216 children per month.

As many as 1057 HIV positive individuals have been seen in a single recent month at out Comprehensive HIV and AIDS Care Clinic, some of them up to four times in the same month.

We have helped over 100 families to start and maintain their own vegetable gardens, and through this project an average of 469 people have fresh vegetables every day.

We maintain 4 communal gardens which feed on average 223 beneficiaries every day.

Through our Skills Training Programme, we have trained 120 women and currently 20 trained craft workers are active and receive a monthly income from it.

Through our Voluntary Counselling and Treatment
programme we have counselled and tested as many as 320 people in a single month.
